The stance in one line: this site uses no tracking cookies. This page explains why it is an editorial and technical choice, and what we use instead to understand the audience.
01 · Stance
The stance in one line
gates-solutions.com uses no third-party tracking cookies, no social pixel, no ad-retargeting tool, no browser fingerprinting.
No consent for non-essential cookies is requested because there are none to consent to. This is an architectural decision, not a technical detail.
02 · Why
Why no tracking cookies
Three inseparable reasons:
a) Editorial choice
Gates Solutions Sàrl works with Heads of TA, VPs of People, executives, conference organisers. This audience is particularly sensitive to data protection and digital privacy. Forcing a cookie banner on them would directly contradict the values of the business.
b) Technical choice
The site stack (statically pre-rendered Astro, Cloudflare Pages, cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics, external redirects for third-party services) requires no cookie technically to function.
c) Compliance choice
No non-essential cookie means no explicit consent required, therefore no cookie banner to display, therefore an uninterrupted reading experience. The GDPR (combined with the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC) and the nFADP only require a consent banner for cookies that are not essential to the service.
03 · Analytics
What we use instead
To understand site audience (pages visited, traffic source, average visit duration, device type), Gates Solutions Sàrl uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, Cloudflare's cookieless analytics product, already our hosting provider.
Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies. Instead:
- A lightweight JavaScript beacon sends a few anonymous measurements (visited page, referrer, country, device type, browser) at page load time.
- No persistent identifier is assigned to the visitor: no cookie, no localStorage, no browser fingerprinting. Each visit is processed independently, with no tracking over time.
- Cloudflare does not use this data to profile users or to serve targeted advertising — Web Analytics is a separate product from the advertising business.
- No cross-referencing with other sites or third-party services is technically possible.
Data collected includes: visited page, referrer, country (derived from the IP, without storing the IP itself), device type (mobile, desktop, tablet), browser, visit duration. It is aggregated at site level and never lets us trace back to an identifiable person.

04 · Form
The contact form
The contact form sets no cookie in your browser.
To block automated spam submissions, the form uses an invisible anti-spam protection provided by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Turnstile). Turnstile operates without any visible interaction and writes no persistent cookie tied to your identity.
In rare cases (browsing behaviour deemed unusual by Cloudflare), Turnstile may set a temporary technical cookie (prefixed cf_chl_*) that automatically expires at the end of your session. This cookie is strictly necessary to the operation of the validation system and is not used for any tracking purpose.
05 · External services
External services reachable from this site
Several links on the site redirect you to third-party services. Those services set their own cookies, on their own domain, under their own responsibility. None of those cookies is set on gates-solutions.com.
You are not tracked by these services until you click on the corresponding links.

06 · Controls
Your browser-side controls
Even though this site sets no tracking cookies, you retain full control of your digital privacy at any time:
- You can enable the Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. No tool used by this site requires or ignores this signal.
- You can use a privacy-oriented browser (Firefox with strict ETP, Brave, Safari with ITP, etc.).
- You can block the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon via an extension such as uBlock Origin, without affecting site readability.
- You can visit the site in private browsing mode to leave no technical trace on the browser side, even temporary.
07 · Evolution
If this changes one day
If Gates Solutions Sàrl ever rolls out a feature requiring non-essential cookies (for example LinkedIn Ads or Meta Ads retargeting, or an A/B-testing tool with cookies), a GDPR- and nFADP-compliant consent banner will be added, and this page will be updated accordingly.
To date, no such rollout is planned for 2026.
